Canada Nickel virtual open house launches
To ensure that all interested parties are informed about the Crawford Nickel project and able to share feedback on its components, Canada Nickel is hosting a virtual online open house from January 31st to February 22nd, 2024.
This new mine is proposed to supplement the global need for stainless steel and lithium-ion batteries for the emerging electric vehicle sector.
At 3.8 million tonnes of total nickel reserve, The Crawford Project would be the world’s second largest nickel mine in the world, second only to the Norilsk Nickel mine in Russia, with a total reserve of 8.7 million tonnes.

Canada Nickel is requesting public input in order to collect community knowledge and incorporate it into the Impact Statement and Class Environmental Assessment documentation.
