Innovation in action! Explore the game-changing world of Super-Duplex Stainless Steel 3D Printing, bringing on-demand spare parts and cost-saving potential.
One of the most innovative aspects of Super-Duplex Stainless Steel is the capacity to 3D-print pieces for high-pressure production processes. The requirement of hard and resistant materials for extreme-environment industries, like offshore and marine sectors, is now as critical as the just-in-time production or continuous production processes. However, having spare parts was related to having a huge inventory and spaces to keep that inventory, which is not possible in, for example, an offshore production plant. So, having spare parts on demand in addition to a reduced inventory, and minimizing material wastage are the new innovative characteristics of 3D printing of Super-Duplex stainless steel. This 3D capacity of Super-Duplex Stainless Steel can generate a cost reduction in the production process.
